  2. Before Souplantation went under from the pandemic, their vegetarian black bean chili was one of my favorites. Gonna try this recipe, Julia. Thanks.

  3. I add my own secret ingredient to my vegetarian chili: a couple of tablespoons of ground Mexican chocolate. Also a dash of cinnamon. And I like to add frozen corn. Always all organic.

  4. I love Julia so much. Such an unpretentious, down-to-earth, charismatic presentation of fantastic recipes.

  5. A good trick for giving vegetarian/vegan dishes a meaty/umami flavor is to add Marmite.

  6. Used to be a fan of ATK. But, no longer. To much reliance on pay-wall and sub-wall antics. To bad. I still have the original 10 year book! These days I use other sources for recipes. This one is a non-starter as it does not have enough detail to be useful.

  9. thank you so much for the freezing of the pre-peeled garlic info!!! I've been so sad about all the garlic I throw away because of mold.
