Replace some hamburger with chorizo sausage
I don’t know what
Yay!!!!! I’ve been waiting for you to do this since I saw your ‘short’!!! Can’t wait to make it!!!
Have you ever tried sweet onions? They don't make me cry like yellow or red onions do. Vidalia onions or sweet would be good to try.
Omg your chili looks amazing. Now I'm really hungry but it's almost midnight.
I have learned something new. We are going to cook this recipe and do what you did to make it Knoxville style. We don't eat chilli to often and i have made different recipes butthe way you made your looks great! I am happy you did a video about this. Thanks.
Looks great!
I use a TX sweet or Valdila onion. No tears while cutting those.
I’m making this! Thanks Zack
Wow it’s so good 😋❤️
It looks so good
That’s looks delicious right there Zach
I always enjoy chili. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I learned from Alton Brown years ago to keep onions in the fridge and no tears. It’s always worked for me.
This looks sooo delicious! Tip for onions. Once peeled, run the onion under cold water for a minute. Definitely helps you're eyes not tear up.
Have you tried the candle trick?
No beans!
I just made chili today. I cheat and use salsa. No mess and no burning eyes from cutting onions. I usually wear gloves when I cut onions and peppers. No accidents when rub your eyes.
Looks amazing!!
Zach, try chewing a piece of Mint gum while you’re cutting onions. It always helps me!
My entire family loves chili and ‘tis the season!!!🫕. Our recipe is identical.. The only other thing we add, historically, is sliced celery…. Enjoy
Could you tell me about your knife?
One thing I don’t mind using a chopper or dicer for is a onion! Can’t wait to to this version of chili!
I have got to make that! Love the topping ideas!
Looks delicious. I’ve Never put jalapeños in my chili. Will try. I use bell peppers. Thanks for sharing.
Love chili. Excited to try yours.
The chili looks so good!!!!
Cut the onions next to the sink (cold running water)
I really appreciate that you included how to make it milder. I am not a fan of chili at all because it is too spicy for me. I might give this a try using the milder peppers, thanks.
I just love it when he says, “you’ll thanks me later.” Great videos good job!
My solution for onion tears (when I remember it) is when I know I'm going to use an onion, I put it in the fridge for a few hours. No tears if it's good and cold.
Try chewing a piece of gum while cutting an onion. If you are still trying different ideas.
I've been eating this since the late 70's, early 80's. We call it Frito chili pie. My mom makes this every super bowl.
Maybe your kids wouldn’t mind the tomatoes if you put in the petite diced tomatoes instead of the regular size
So do you use chili beans or kidney beans? I see in the description box in one area you say kidney but in the ingredients you say chili beans
Definitely going to try this!
Yummy! 😋
Store onions in the fridge (with the skin on in a bag / container). This helps to keep the tears away 😅😁
I have never has chili this way before but i def will be trying !! thanks for sharing !
