Slow cookers are wonderful for making a chilli in. As far as I’m concerned this is THE BEST chilli recipe in my world!

INGREDIENTS (For a 3.5 litre slow cooker)
450g minced meat
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
400g tin or red kidney beans, drained
150ml beef stock
1 large onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped.
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1½ tsp ancho chilli powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 garlic cloves, crushed
4 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp chipotle paste
3 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 bay leaves
½ tsp dark brown sugar
¼ tsp black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil in a pan. Add in the onion, bell pepper and red chilli. Cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the meat and cook until brown. Turn off the heat and add the herbs and spices. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker.
Add the garlic, tomato paste and chipotle paste and mix well.
Add the salt, pepper, sugar and flour. Mix well.
Add the stock, tinned tomatoes, kidney beans, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves. Mix well.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Stir occasionally.

Adding some light beer to the chilli gives it a really nice taste.

This looks amazing! I’ll have to find those spices and give it a go. My chili recipe sounds so plain now 😂 good heavens I was practically eating spaghetti sauce in comparison!
Thanks for adding the missing ingredients in the printable recipe. My hubby just ran to the store to get the ingredients ('cept for the ones I'll have to order online). A great dish for tonight's dinner as we endure the polar vortex here in the U.S. (among other unpleasantness). Thanks again for being back on YT!
