Sausage, peppers and rice is an incredibly easy and delicious one pan meal! Everything cooks up together and the end result is a flavorful satisfying dinner on the table in no time!
Sausage, Peppers and Rice
Ingredients
12-16 oz sausage (hot links, andouille or smoked works well), sliced
2 bell peppers, sliced
1 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 cups basmati rice
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Directions
Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat and sautƩ sausages for 2 minutes.
Add bell peppers, onions, and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add basmati rice and cook for another minute.
Stir in chicken broth, tomato sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat all the way down to low. Cover and cook for 25 minutes or until the rice is tender.
