Looks good. You should do a vid on how to sharpen/take care of knives
Are the YouTube video recipes in the Preppy Kitchen cookbook?
I ALWAYS brown my beef, gound or not, in a scorching hot pan to sear it to taste like steak. Once it's seared add veggies to wilt & continue the recipe.
Perfect comfort food!!
@preppy kitchen can you make mango cheese cake..
You are just the best! Have you heard of Sallyās Baking Addiction? You should do a collab with her!
with beans
No beans in chili? So wrong! I love black beans, cannellini beans and kidney beans in mine. Will try your recipe soon ā„ļø
Don't forget your corn bread. for me corn bread is the best with chili.
This looks almost identical to what my Mom and I make… with the Cocoa, etc. We just add just a touch of cinnamon to it but other than that pretty identical. Fantastic recipe thank you again John.ā¤
Can you use turkey or chicken meat in this recipe? My boyfriend has sworn off red meat this year.
San Antonio is not a border town, review your history classes
I do not need a Recipe for Chilli I use my Mother Recipe
A very nice, delicious, tasty n yummy dish. ššš.
I hate recipes with chili powder. In Europe we don't have such thing as chili powder. Chili powder is freaking hot so please show me a good recipe for chili powder.
It better than the meat friend many thanks be bless with your family much appreciated š
This is the first time Iāve seen anybody use brown sugar and cocoa powder now thatās interesting
Thanks for the recipe. Trying it now.šā¤
I love that you compost. This chili looks awesome, and I'm definitely going to try it, thanks!
Chili is one of my favorite things in the world.
Beans or no beans:
For a bowl of chili, I prefer beans (and meat).
Used as a topping/sauce (chili burgers, chili dogs, etc) I prefer no beans.
OMG!!! THANK YOU!! I just finished cooking and itās the best one I ever made or had ā¤ā¤ā¤Regards from Dominican Republic.
Itās like you read my mind!! I like to cook something flavorful and different on Saturdays so since last one I decided today was chili day⦠I couldnāt believe it when I saw your new video notification and.. thank you for helping me make it easier and better. šš½šš½šš½šš½šš½šš½šš½THANK YOU!!
Wow those are pretty pink and huge garlic
love beans in my chili. I usually do 1 can of black bean soup (more flavor) and a can of pink beans. Also, cocoa powder yes! I also had a cinnamon stick and a tsp of instant espresso. Regarding the bell pepper…I usually fire roast the bell pepper and a jalapeno on the stove and remove the skins. I also make my own chili blend by rehydrating different dried peppers and blending them with the roasted bell pepper and jalapeno. Also, I add coriander (which goes SOOOO well with cumin). I also add red enchilada sauce (flavor bomb).
No beans.
Yes on the beans!! š
John I made this chili Saturday for lunch. I have to say that it is the best chili I have ever tasted in my entire life. My Mom use to make what I thought was the best chili in the world but this by far is much better. Sorry Mom don't be mad at me, RIP but the beef broth you buy in the can is 2 oz short of the 16 oz so I just added a very small can of tomato juice. And of course I added more heat to mine. But where I like in Kansas chili isn't chili unless it has beans in it. Thanks for this great recipe.
My Italian family from Ny never added beef broth, usually just added a can of water and I have never had a chilli without beans.. I would feel like somethings MISSING without beans! I've never tried with the cocoa but it sounds like it would be delicious so I will do that in my next pot I make.
In this video , you show yourself adding 1 tablespoon of cocoa. On the recipe page, you don't even mention it. That's a real shame because those people who may not have seen the video are missing out on a real stroke of genius! Terrific chili – thanks!
Hi just found this receipe was craving chilli today new subscriber here looks absolutely delicious canāt wait to eat. Thank you so much for sharing this with us cheers!!
The cocoa powder is brilliant, and does the job exactly like John said.
This with fresh home made bread is just heavenly!
Iāll have to try the cocoa powder suggestion. Never heard of that!
Another terrific recipe from Preppy Kitchen! I made this chili today following the recipe exactly as given. I even added the optional ingredients: 1 T each of cocoa powder and brown sugar. Super delicious! Iāll make it again!
1893 is correct! Loved this video and will be making it soon.
I love chilli

Close to mine. I add gravy master into mine. š
I'm from Texas, and I always put beans in my chili. ā¤
Always, beans.
Iām a native Texan and have always put cooked pinto beans in my chili. 12 oz of favorite beer is a must. For meat I use a combo of mostly chuck roast cut small and ground beef and cook till roast is falling apart.
Plzzzzz do a milk bread recipe
I'd love it if you could show us how to make a great raisin-filled cookie. š
