Chili Garlic Crisp – Perfect for any dish.
Ingredients — Adjust the ratio of ingredients to your own preference:
– Garlic 🧄 2 heads
– Ginger 🫚 1 to 3 inches
– Crushed red chiles – 1 oz
– Green onion – 2 to 3 stalks
– Sesame seeds (optional)
– Oil – 8 to 12 oz
– Kosher salt
Method:
– Bring oil to heat on a stove over medium-high while you prep the rest
– Peel and mince garlic – if you like garlic, add as much as you want
– Peel and mince ginger – if you like ginger, add as much as you want
– Slice green onion into sizes of your choice
– Add to a bowl with crushed red chili flakes and sesame seeds
– Add a heavy pinch of salt
– Once oil is very hot, pour over your ingredients—be careful as this will steam and bubble
– Let cook and then cool
– Transfer to a mason jar or glass bowl for storage
– Add to your favorite dishes where you normally add oil!
