How to make Chicken Chili Verde on the Stovetop



Chicken with Green Chili recipe. Easy slow cooker or stovetop recipe. This is how I make Chicken Chili Verde

Ingredients
Tomatillos
Onion
Shallot
Jalapenos
Fresno Pepper
Reaper Pepper
1 can of green chilis
Garlic
Lime
Cumin
Cilantro
Chicken thighs
Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper

Step one
Chop your vegetables and put into a roasting tray along with a handful of cloves of garlic.
Add olive oil, salt, and pepper and coatĀ evenly

Step two
Either roast for 30 minutes at 400F or broil until vegetables blister or char. Do not burn.

Step three
Add roasted vegetables to blender along with cumin, cilantro, dried reaper, lime juice and a spoonful of sugar and blend. Taste and adjust seasoning

Step four
Put pan over low heat and add blended mixture. add in your chicken thigh after removing skin. Season your chicken with salt and pepper and add green chilis (I add them after the blender for the texture).

Cook on low until chicken pulls apart easily.

Step five
Remove chicken, and shred with two forks. After shredded, put back into the pan with the liquid and stir it in. Your chili verde is now ready to serve whether thats in a taco, burrito, over rice, or just as a soup by itself.

This recipe also works great in the crock pot or slow cooker. Enjoy some ASMR cooking and dogs barking.
