  3. I do basically the same process but with a bit more ingredients for more packed flavour.
    For one block of firm tofu, I'd add Indian spices (2tsp each of salt, red chilli powder, 1tsp each of turmeric, cilantro powder and cumin powder), 4tsp corn starch, 4tbsp maple syrup (trust me it does not sweeten it, only balances the flavour), 2tbsp of mustard oil (any other oil is fine as well). Pretty tasty to snack on by itself, but I prefer to use it as a base ingredient to cook more 'proper' dishes afterwards.
