It’s called a hole in the wall by the owners and locals but The Hot Dog House is an institution in Covington, VA. The hospitality alone is reason to check this place out but it’s the “famous” chili that will turn you into a regular. It’s a 75-year-old Greek recipe that honestly is some of the best chili I’ve featured during my time hosting Hometown Eats.

Hot Dogs are the scraps on the floor at the slaughterhouse. Nose, eyes, doodads its all ground up and sugar added. See any healthy people? I Still love good infotainment.👍

How is the chili a Greek recipe.
The chili is the key, and all the stuff you can buy in cans is not very good. I'd like to try this, but I'll just have to stick with yellow mustard for now.

Hot dog chili is different. I make a good one, but the best is always the little places that get it just right.
These dogs remind me of the chili dogs in West Virginia, Xtra onion n cheese.
