My cats also love bread. Many an unattended baked good (including some of my second ever batch of biscuits) have fallen victim to them. We got a plastic tote to put all our bread products in so they'd stop eating them and the plastic bags they are within. 😅

You made a cheese sauce for your cheese sticks. I feel like that maybe the classic tomato sauce to cut the richness with some acid or a spicy sauce with some tang might go harder.
