Looks so easy. Canāt wait to try.
Thanks for the great video. I had pepper jelly before and have been looking for an easy recipe. This will be the one. You might want to try cowboy candy if you like peppers. Its pickled jalapenos in a sweet brine.
Iām going to use powdered pectin Stores all out of certo Looks yummy
What kind of peppers do i use? Not too spicy.
Tks for sharing this recipe tutorial with us
Making this right now. Wish me luck!
Oolala, it's coming out beautifully. I don't remember her adding the salt to the recipe, so, I did this when I added the sugar. This can be done with the water bath method bc it has VINEGAR in it.
Can I use my red, yellow, green, bell peppers with the cayenne & poblano I have in my garden? I need to do something with them asap.
Could i use less sugar ? Or is it not gonna work
This looks the same as making Cowboy Candy…the only difference I see is the size of the Jalapenos…cutting them in slices or as you did in the Food Processor..and of course the Pectin.
You didn't add a rack in the bottom of the dutch oven. I learned the hard way the first time I water bathed. They broke. Weven a towel will do if no rack.
Can l use sure jell i. This recipe?
Looks good. I'll be trying this recipe. AND thanks for sparing us from watching you cut up all of those peppers.
š yummy
Its not jelly.. Its jam… its probably still wonderful, however Jelly only uses the juice, not the purĆØed peppers. We all know this, if we ever purchases Smuckers Concord grape jelly, vs strawberry jam. Plus it will be like a clear gelatine.
Does anyone know if you can use powder pectin as a substitute for liquid?
This was such a treat. I know I should have made something like this ahead of time, but I ran to my local HEB to get some eggs and some sort of pepper jam or pepper sauce to put a twist on a traditional eggs benni. And I found out even down here hardly anybody uses peppers. I'm not kidding you some lovely young woman looked me dead in my eyes and told me in front of God and everybody that she puts ketchup on her tacos š¢š. Soon as I figure out which of the 3 eggs benni recipes I like the best and have a long nap I'm gonna make a BIG BATCH of this delicious lookin preserve(?). Man I wish I had some of that ready to go rn.
Can I use regular vinegar
