Chili Cheese Dog Recipe

Ingredients
1 sweet onion diced, 3 tomatoes diced, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1-1.5 pound(s) of ground beef, 14.5 ounce can of beef broth, 8 oz can of tomato sauce, can of whole san marzano tomatoes, 16 oz can kidney beans, 2 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp cumin, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1.5 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp cayenne

Instructions
Sauté your onions and garlic in a pan/pot over medium heat with some olive oil, then once fragrant add your ground beef and cook until browned.

Add your tomato paste, beef broth, tomato sauce, kidney beans, your diced tomatoes, *optional* 3-4 canned san marzano tomatoes and crush with your hands, add your seasoning blend (2 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp cumin, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1.5 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp cayenne)

Bring up to high heat until you reach a light simmer/boil. Lower the heat and place the lid on and simmer for an hour. After an hour take the lid off and let it reduce until you reach your desired consistency.

Cook your hot dogs and buns on a grill over medium heat until nice and cooked.

Place your hotdogs in the buns and pour over the chili and top with shredded cheese. Place in the oven at 400 until the cheese is melted.
