Chilli Chicken Recipe | Indo Chinese Style Chilli Chicken | Cook with Judy and Flo

Chilli Chicken ๐ถ๐
For Marination:
300g Chicken Thighs
1 tsp Salt ๐ง
1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste ๐ง
1 tsp Red Chilli Sauce ๐ถ๏ธ
1 Egg White ๐ฅ
2 tbsp Cornflour ๐ฝ
1 tsp All Purpose Flour ๐พ
Method:
1. Mix all the above ingredients & marinate for 15 mins โฑ๏ธ
2. Deep fry on low-medium heat till light golden brown ๐๐ฅ
For Sauce Mix
1 tsp Red Chilli Sauce ๐ถ๏ธ
3 tsp Tomato Sauce ๐
1 tsp Oyster Sauce ๐ฆช
1 tsp Dark Soya Sauce ๐ฅฃ
1 tsp Vinegar ๐ถ
1/8 cup Water ๐ง
Method:
1. Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl ๐ฅฃ
For Gravy:
2 tbsp Oil ๐ข๏ธ
1 tbsp Garlic (chopped) ๐ง
1/2 tbsp Ginger (chopped) ๐ฟ
1 Green Chilli (sliced) ๐ถ๏ธ
1 Small Onion (cubed) ๐ง
1 Capsicum (cubed) ๐ซ
1 cup Water ๐ง
1/2 tsp Salt ๐ง
1/2 tsp Chicken Powder ๐
1/2 tsp Black Pepper โซ
1/2 tbsp Sugar ๐ฌ
Cornflour Slurry: 1 tbsp Cornflour + 3 tbsp Water ๐ฝ๐ง
Spring Onion Greens (for garnish) ๐ฑ
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic & chillies. Sautรฉ for 1-2 mins ๐ฅ
2. Add onion & capsicum. Sautรฉ for 30 secs ๐ง ๐ซ
3. Add the sauce mix. Bring to a boil โจ๏ธ
4. Add water, salt, chicken powder, black pepper & sugar. Boil again ๐
5. Add cornflour slurry & cook for 2-3 mins till it thickens ๐
6. Add fried chicken & mix well ๐
7. Garnish with spring onion greens & serve hot! ๐ฑโจ
