Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken with Potatoes and Peppers Recipe



Delicious chicken potatoes recipe in creamy garlic butter sauce with peppers. This chicken meal is my favorite meal to make during fall and the holidays!

INGREDIENTS
6 bone in skin on chicken thighs
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp paprika
salt and black pepper to taste ( i used 2 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper)
1 whole onion
1 whole red bell pepper
1 whole yellow bell pepper
1 whole green bell pepper
4 Tbs butter
6 cloves garlic
2 Tbs flour
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
2 little chicken bouillon cubes
Fresh parsley and fresh basil

Instructions

• Chicken Preparation (0:24-0:41): Season bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
• Potato Preparation (0:47-1:10): Halve baby gold potatoes, drizzle with olive oil, and season with some of the reserved chicken spice mix. Partially bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes.
• Chicken Searing (1:13-1:32): Sear the seasoned chicken in hot oil over medium-high heat for 3 minutes per side until golden brown, then set aside.
• Vegetable SautĆ©ing (1:34-1:52): Cut and sautĆ© an onion, red, yellow, and green bell peppers with salt and black pepper until cooked down, then set aside.
• Creamy Sauce Preparation (1:56-2:40): Melt butter, add minced garlic and sautĆ©. Stir in flour, then chicken broth, and cook until thickened. Add heavy cream, whole milk, Parmesan cheese, chicken bouillon cubes, black pepper, fresh parsley, and basil.
• Baking Assembly (2:42-3:10): Combine the partially baked potatoes with the sautĆ©ed vegetables. Place the seared chicken thighs on top, then pour the creamy sauce over everything. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 45 minutes.

  2. This looked great. When i make this dish im going to play around with the chicken. I do always buy my chicken thighs bone in and skin on. Ok but im going to go ahead and remove the bones in half the thighs. Roll each one into a nice shape and tie with some butchers twine then cook all of them. I think with this wonderful dish you put together it would be nice and easier for the guests to eat this meal if the chicken was boneless. However bone can add flavor to the meat. So by doing half bone in and the other boneless you could see the flavor difference. Before i go yes don't forget to remove the butchers twine šŸ˜‚.
