  1. That's pretty much how I make my Chilli too. I usually go for just red kidney beans and add some fresh chopped red chillis instead of the chilli beans, maybe some fresh paprika and not just the powdered stuff also. But I do prefer to use Chipotle along with some Cayenne pepper.

Cornbread really isn't a thing here, so i usually have a side of rice or nachos.

  2. This looked a lot like something I've made myself, with the exception that I seasoned the ground beef with something akin to "kebab krydder" before putting it in the pan, as well as half-cooking rice that I set aside to add to the chili-stew about 15 minutes before i would shut off the stove.
You might want to consider toasting some slices of "loff" (white bread) in the oven and put garlic butter on top when you take them out, to have as a side to the meal, but one pot lasted me near a week.
Regardless, thanks for the video ☺and proof that I wasn't far off on my own adventure.

  3. Only thing I would leave out is beans, I don`t like beans at all.
Not long ago I made Conley Island Hot Dogs for the first time, basicly hot dogs with chilly on top.
Next time I will leave out mustard as that was not my thing.
Since then I have made chilly and I like to have the leftovers on a slice of loaf.

    Hilsen fra Sørlandet 🙂

  4. Prep and package you could out-compete the gryterett bags with that stuff….. some rice or a garlic baguette aside would probably be wonderfull with that. Greetings from Trondheim

  5. I would have fried the onions with the ground meat first(put them in when the meat has started to brown). The taste is much better then.

  6. chili con carne comes from…… Peru which is in central America. so yes from America but not the U.S….failed again. yes that's right. America's education wins again

  7. Pretty much the same way I make mine, cutting suger but adding dark chocolate and lime. I like mine wayyy spicy though so I also add different chillies 😉 chilli con carne is always better the next day 😅

  8. Yum, I bet I'd love it. :3
My mum makes something very similar. We have more types of beans, and we eat it with rice.

  9. I don't know where in Norway you are but in Oslo you can get dried Chipotle, Arbol, Guajillo, Osilla,Anho chilies at Gutta på Haugen, and powdered versions of the same at Haugen Torg (sankt hans haugen) and many Turkish vegetable stores.

When it comes to fresh chilies you can get green jalapenos, red and green cayennes, red and yellow habaneros, bullet chilies and red and green Thai bird's at Turkish, Thai and Vietnamese markets.

The only things which are difficult to come by are superhot ones like bhut jolokia, Carolina Reaper,Scotch bonnet etc which you typically have to mail order.

  10. Denne oppskriften skal jeg teste ut.
    Takk for at du deler!
Flott uttalelse av ordet kjøttdeig forresten, det tror jeg mange fremmedspråklige sliter med.
    God helg!
