Pepper Corn Khasta Gujiya & Cannoli Dipped In Sev | Diwali Special | Festive Delight with Nutralite

This Diwali, Chef presents two extraordinary treats to make your celebrations even more special. First, we have the ‘Pepper Corn Khasta Gujiya’, a traditional golden delight bursting with bold flavours. Enriched with Nutralite Probiotic Butter Spread and a creamy touch of Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo, this Gujiya combines the classic charm of tradition with a fun.

Next, we have the ‘Khasta Cannoli dipped in Sev,’ a modern twist to our classic Gujiya, that balances crispiness and creaminess in every bite. Made with Nutralite Probiotic Butter Spread and Nutralite cheezy garlic Mayo, these cannolis are dipped in crunchy sev to add an extra festive sparkle. They offer a perfect blend of textures and flavours that will delight both kids and adults alike.

PEPPER CORN KHASTA GUJIYA AND KHASTA CANNOLI DIPPED IN SEV

Ingredients

1 cup chopped mixed bell peppers
¾ cup boiled and crushed corn kernels
1 tbsp Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1 medium sweet potato, boiled, peeled and mashed
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
3 tbsps Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo + to dip
Nylon sev to coat
Dough
1½ cups whole wheat flour (atta)
Salt to taste
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
4 tbsps Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread + for greasing

Method

1. To prepare stuffing, heat Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread, add cumin seeds and once they start to change colour, add crushed corn, mixed bell peppers and salt, sauté for 5-6 minutes.
2. To prepare dough, put whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add salt, carom seeds, Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread and mix well. Add ¾ cup water and knead into a semi-stiff dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
3. Transfer the bell pepper mixture in a bowl, add sweet potato, coriander and Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo and mix well.
4. Preheat the oven at 180˚C
5. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and further divide the first portion into small balls.
6. Flatten each ball and roll out into disks. Cut the uneven edges with the help of a round cookie cutter.
7. Grease gujiya mould with some Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread and place the rolled disk.
8. Keep some stuffing in the centre and close the mould.
9. Demould the gujiyas and arrange on baking tray. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Drizzle some Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread and bake for 4-5 minutes more. Brush some Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread and serve.
10. To make cannoli, roll out the remaining dough into thin sheet and further cut into small squares.
11. Place the stuffing on one side and roll tightly.
12. Grease a baking tray with Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread.
13. Arrange the prepared cannolis on baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes.
14. Allow to cool slightly. Dip the ends in Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo and again dip in sev and serve.
