Easy Award-Winning Chili
Ingredients
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1 packet Brooks Chili Seasoning
* 29 oz can tomato sauce
* 15.25 oz can black beans, drained
* 2 (15.25 oz) cans Brooks Chili Beans (mild or hot)
* 1 cup water
Instructions
1. Brown the beef:In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
2. Season:Stir in the Brooks Chili Seasoning packet and cook for 3 minutes, allowing the spices to bloom and deepen in flavor.
3. Add remaining ingredients:Pour in the tomato sauce, black beans, chili beans, and water. Stir well to combine.
4. Simmer:Bring the chili to a light boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve & enjoy:Ladle into bowls and top with your favorites — shredded cheese, sour cream, diced onions, or crackers!
