The best chili ever! #meatchurch #bbq #chili



This hearty, meaty chili will fill up the hungriest of appetites. This recipe makes a big ole batch of chili. This recipes contains 4 lbs of meat! 3 lbs of ground meat and 1 lb of chuck roast or stew meat. I love this recipe with venison instead of beef as well. Any combo of meats works but having plenty of ground meat plus some large chunky meat that will break down and get super tender during a 6-8 hour cook is the best.

If you want to try this recipe with venison, but don’t hunt, our friends at Maui Nui Venison sellship amazing Axis deer meat. It’s the one of the cleanest tasting game meats and nutrient dense!

This recipe will require a large slow cooker or dutch oven. It has a medium spiciness level. You can adjust that by adding more or less chili seasoning.

  1. This may be the most popular chili recipe on Meat Church, but my favorite is your Texas Red Chili from a year or two ago. I still make it to this day. One ingredient missing in this recipe your showing us, is jalapeños. Gotta have jalapeños. Lol.

  2. I am a Texas chili person now. I grew up eating beans but after making your chili I won’t touch beans now

  3. You need some fresh cilantro on top of that.
    FYI for people who say it tastes like soap, just use the leaves, and wash it thoroughly, they spray the cilantro with pesticides(aka soap). Rinse it thoroughly with cold water and you don’t get that flavor

  4. @meatchruchbbq : add a bit of 100% (like 3-4 tb spoon) cacao powder to that and you will not believe where its gonna go

  5. I'm going to make all of Texas mad. Where is the beans? What you have right now I consider hot dog Chilli. If I'm having a bowl of Chilli I want beans in it.

See now I gotta get me some meat church chili seasoning because I use so much of your other stuff especially that VooDoo so now I gotta make chili this weekend & try to make it better than that version you just made 😂 I have a few ideas in mind…. also banana pepper rings sour cream Tapitio & cheese is a underrated chili topping nobody talks about. The venison is the key I gotta kill me one this year so I can really experiment with some recipes
