Ingredients
For marinating & frying paneer:

250 g fresh paneer – cut into cubes
½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
¼ tsp garam masala
Salt – to taste
1 tsp oil

For the masala paste:

2 medium onions – roughly chopped
3 medium tomatoes – roughly chopped
8–10 cashews
1-inch ginger piece
4–5 garlic cloves
2 dry red chillies

For the curd mixture:

3 tbsp curd (yogurt)
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp coriander powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp pepper powder
Kasuri Methi
Salt – to taste

For gravy:
2 tbsp butter
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Prepared masala paste
Prepared curd mixture
2 tbsp fresh cream
1 tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
Salt – as needed

👩‍🍳 Recipe Steps

Marinate & Fry Paneer:
Cut fresh paneer into cubes. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and oil. Lightly toss and shallow-fry till golden. Set aside.

Prepare Masala Paste:
In a pan, add onions, tomatoes, cashews, ginger, garlic, and red chillies. Boil until soft. Let it cool slightly, then blend into a smooth paste.

Make Curd Mixture:
In a bowl, mix curd with turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. Whisk well and keep aside.

Cook the Gravy:
Heat butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds and hing. Once aromatic, add the prepared masala paste and sauté till it thickens and releases oil.

Add Curd Mixture:
Pour in the curd mixture and cook on medium flame till the oil separates from the sides.

Combine Everything:
Add fried paneer cubes, cream, and kasuri methi. Mix gently and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

Serve:
Serve hot with naan, roti, or jeera rice.
