  4. I think it’s great how you’re able to be creative on such a tight budget; I know this helps a LOT of struggling people. I wish my fiancĆ© would eat beans! It would save so much on our food bill. But he hates ALL beans with a passion, and he doesn’t digest them well. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚

  5. Amazed how you always seem to pull it together. Two kids, a hubby, a home, a YouTube channel, and a big ol smile. You are a gem. GOD BLESS YOU.ā¤ MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!😊

  6. YOU ARE THE BEST!!! My husband and I have found so many good meals from your videos that are helping us financially. You are a gem Julia and may the bottom of your pillow always be coldā¤

  7. Hi!! Love your videos. Just curious. Why did you buy eggs when you have chickens. Couldn’t you have used that money for some other ingredients? No judgement just curious o. Your thought process.

  8. Rice would be a great addition to bulk out both the chili and the egg casserole. Thanks for the ideas!

  9. The people who should be making meal plans like this just get SNAP benefits and shop at Whole Foods. Meanwhile there are families who work their butts off, make just above the threshold to get government benefits, and have to budget their meals like this.

  10. Girl!! You are so what's needed now! I simply love your recipes and your delivery. You are so down-to-earth and lovely. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season.

  11. Just received your second cookbook today!! It is so beautiful with all of the photo's of each recipe. I especially love how some pages are full-spread across the spine!! I can't wait to try all of your wonderful dishes!! So happy that I ordered early enough to get this cookbook signed as well!!ā¤ Thank-you so much for all of your hard work in putting these beautiful cookbooks together to make it easier for us!! Love you girlie!!ā¤

  12. Thanks for always inspiring us! I'm making the potato soup tonight. I had about 1/3 of a kielbasa in my freezer, some diy frozen corn from some I'd cut off the cob this summer, and I also had some carrots I needed to use up. So I added those things in cuz I dont have bacon and I bet it will be delicious. Thanks for always teaching us that we can use what we have, or spend not much but make super filling meals. I'm planning to top mine with sour cream and a bit of shredded cheese

  13. You’re lucky, potatoes are never lower than $3.99 for a 5lb bag at our Walmart.

  14. Just got my signed book and your first cookbook 2 days ago! Excited to start making some of the recipes.

  15. Since I'm trying to lose weight, it is hard for me to think about anything but protein. On 15$ I'd have bought 60 eggs and 6 avocados for 30 meals and fasted the other 6.

  16. I have diabetes. I wish I could eat that ramen noodle bowl. It's total crap ingredients but I miss it lol. Better for me that I don't eat it though. I try and stick with whole foods now, nothing packaged. So different than how I grew up !

  17. I wanted to share a very silly thing I realized I started to do about 10 years ago. It has little to do with the subject but is it so fun…when I am in the grocery store line putting things onto the conveyor belt, I reach into the cart with my right hand and bring it up then swiftly throw it to my left hand which I leave over near or over the conveyor and place the items down. It is a fun tossing game I play. I almost always catch each super quickly tossed item. I don't know why I started or really when, but I've never seen anyone else do it and it is fun…ok. I admit I am 61 and I used to tell my kids my middle name was 'Silly' without realizing one of my daughters actually thought it was and shared my middle name with her visiting friend! (It is Adrienne, not Silly). Cans and thin pasta boxes, tomatoes, garlic heads are fun to toss. Yes, the occasional carefully tossed jar gets tossed, though never eggs or bread…mostly the less perishable items…

  18. You have very beautiful eyes; they're full of love and kindness. God bless you for doing these videos because there are people on low income who need inspiration.

  19. She's either letting it go to her head, or she has run out of ideas and is looking stupid trying to be creative in presenting her videos….

  20. Julie, your chili looks like soup. Maybe you can cook it longer with the top off to reduce the water content. Or maybe add some cheese to it, some crackers to soak up the water. But I’m sure it was delicious.

  21. If I were cooking and if I wanted my chili thicker, there are many ways to do it. I might add cornstarch to cold water, stir, add that mixture. I might throw an extra can of beans (if I had them) into a blender with some seasonings, blend, and add that. Or I might just keep boiling for awhile with the lid off, let some of the liquid evaporate. Lots of possibilities for the picky people lol

  22. I think it’s really amazing how you stretch your $15. And the meals are hearty and filling and nutritious. Thank you for sharing!! ā¤

  23. great video and ideas – and much needed. you have beautiful children, Miss Julia –
    just like you! 😊
    I am just like you ;

  24. There are so many damn rude comments on this youtube video.
Folks, if you are UNHAPPY with where your lives are at, perhaps make better decisions!!!!!

Julia puts out great videos. Pick through what you like
Other than that, keep your traps shut if you don't like what she is making.

This is honestly the first video I have seen with comments like these
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
