I like to use regular ground beef along with cubed beef stir-fry strips and thick ground beef. I also use V-8 juice instead of water, grated milk chocolate, and a can of beer. Last time I made chilli I served approximately 60 people in Minot, ND and there was 10 inches of snow. Had celery, black olives, chopped onions, about 8 different forms of chips, crackers and cornbread as accompaniments. Had maybe 3 gallons left, did with and without beans. And had two pints of southern chow-chow my mother and I prepared the year prior to me going to North Dakota. Chow-chow is a pickled vegetable relish great of hotdogs, along with pintos and chilli.
