I know everyone has already been here saying this. But the taco salad was hands down one of my favorite items all the way back when they had the steak option and the orange southwest sauce packet. For a while it was the only thing I would even eat at Taco Bell! Had the mini tonight for the first time. Oh man! It was everything I wanted and then some! The shell was perfect I did some customizations to have it the way I used to; swapped black beans for beef and rice for the refried beans and added nacho cheese but oh man I’m already going back tomorrow for another. No notes. But the point of my rant is this; this item like everything I love (border bowls, Baja sauce, volcano sauce, taco salads, Carmel apple empanada, etc) will probably go away again soon. I just don’t understand why they have to take away everything good and replace it with total nonsense items!! Taco Bell read the Reddit!! Give the people what we want!

I was surprised how good it was, the shell is the perfect puffy crispy texture
It really is that good.
Honestly just a major improvement over any hard taco. I really like the nacho dip too when they remember to give me chips.
Between that and the beefy potato griller I think we have one the best value menus in years.
