  1. yeah agreed with this video but you just suddenly threw chicken or pork stock on us at the last second and that can also be complicated. like i guarantee the chicken stock you used wasn't straight chicken stock. if not then please correct me as this recipe does seem great in the grand scheme of thing but i do have my questions.

  2. He specifies any kind of wheat noodle. Can rice noodles be used? Maybe they get too soggy? I dunno, I love noodle dishes but my GF has celiac.

  3. Oil that you use for chili oil will destroy your kidney, liver and pancreas it literally just like cooking with polyurethane paint w/o the hardener. I China and Hong Kong they use pork fat to make chili oil healthy and help reduce diabetes, increase brain function and reduce blood pressure.

  4. In a pinch, spaghetti boiled in a high pH balanced water (add baking soda to the boiling water) will give you a chewier pasta noodle. It isn't perfect, but it'll work if you can't get/don't have Asian noodles.

  5. Crazy how cocky someone can get over success. At the end tho, miserable people, stay miserable people.

  6. It's definitely not authentic. The way he did chili oil is not quite right ( vinegar, MSG, also Salt), because if it's salted, then you don't know how much salt you will add to the noodles later. And high temperature will kill MSG's fresh flavors, so better add to the dish directly. Same thing with garlic, sometimes you need your chili oil to be naturally spicy, so it's more versatile.

  7. Romanians also use garlic water quite frequently with fish dishes especially in sea/river fishing towns. Romania is also a garlic loving country, so garlic with water, yogurt or mayo.

  8. Only difference here is that you didn't make yours with sewer oil. The sewer oil may have a unique flavor, but it causes a trip to the hospital when consumed.

  9. Theres a CRAZY new invention. Its called welding. NEVER buy a pan with a riveted handle. They come loose over time and leak. There also a pain to have to scrub around. I don't get this new fad of making crappy riveted pans. My pans are over 50 years old. My sisters super expensive riveted pans lasted about 10. You might say well mine have lasted longer. It doesn't matter. It's a potential failing point you can avoid, and there still a pain to clean around. Don't buy them, trust me they suck.

  10. When I was a student, I usually do normal chili powder and mix with some curry powder on the oil hahahha. Taste great!

  11. This looks amazing. It also looks like one of those recipes I'll have on my to-do list forever, waiting to find some of the ingredients. I'm looking at you, yellow miso paste!
