Homemade paprika:
8 bell peppers at $0.50 each = $4.00 total
Yielded 3 oz of paprika
Cost: $1.33 per ounce
Store-bought paprika (where I typically shop):
$3.39 for 2.12 oz
Cost: $1.60 per ounce
Homemade isn’t always cheaper, but in this case, it was.

Homemade typically means less preservatives and added chemicals, too; and, when you factor in the health benefits, homemade is cheaper.
