I started out hydroponic on Dec. 25th and left this one in there for slightly longer than it's peers because it used to be smaller. I then switched to biodegradable pots which are now in a balcony box.
The only thing I did extra was adding a small amount of egg shells finely crushed with a mortar in between dirt layers. I never did any pruning (on purpose) and I think other beginners should just let the plant be like I did. After all you can't do anything wrong if you just let the plant do it's thing.
I am counting 8 buds so far.

Time to rip them off, let the plant grow. 8 buds will need more energy than those leaves can provide, the plant will stall. Even if the plant wont abort the buds you will eventually get very small fruit.
