  1. LEMON PEPPER SMOKED CHEEZ ITS

    INGREDIENTS
1 family size box Hidden Valley Ranch Cheez Its about 12 ounces
    6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
    2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
    1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
1 teaspoon dried parsley optional for color

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Preheat smoker to 225 degrees. Use mild wood such as apple or pecan for a gentle smoke flavor.
    2. Pour Cheez Its into a large mixing bowl.
    3. In a separate bowl combine melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning. Stir until fully mixed.
    4. Slowly drizzle the seasoned butter over the crackers while gently tossing to coat every piece without breaking them.
    5. Spread the Cheez Its in a single layer on a smoker safe tray or foil pan.
    6. Place on the smoker and cook for 45 to 60 minutes stirring once halfway through so the flavor sets evenly.
    7. Remove from smoker and allow to cool for 10 minutes. The crackers will crisp up as they rest.
    8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to one week.

    TIPS
Hidden Valley Ranch Cheez Its give the best flavor because the ranch is already baked into the cracker.
If using regular Cheez Its add one teaspoon ranch seasoning to the butter mixture.
For extra zing add a squeeze of fresh lemon right before serving.
Low and slow smoke keeps them crunchy instead of greasy.

Perfect for party bowls, lunchbox snacks, or topping soups and salads.
