Where can we find your recipes
My grandmother gave me her cast iron skillet that my grandfather made when he worked in a foundry in Birmingham, Al. I got it as my wedding gift because it was seasoned by her and I didn't know how to do that. It cooks great and I bet it's 100 years old.
I have 2 Lodge Cast Iron skillets. The bottoms are so rough that everything sticks. I looked up how to smooth them and it says coarse salt in a circular motion. Hope it works. I had THE best cast iron but it had a rimmed edge on the bottom and I couldn't use it on a glass top stove, which I hate. I miss cooking with gas. 🙁

I have just found you, and am thoroughly enjoying your cooking. Would you add whether your dishes are freezeable please? I cook for 1, and some of these recipes are huge! If they are suitable for freezing, they would be perfect for treating as a 'batch' recipe. 😊
But cleaning n keepling cast iron rust free is such a huge hassle n insane workout every time. Lol. They are hell heavy.

I've had cast iron for years. I love them. Unfortunately, they've become too heavy for me now that I've gotten old. 😢 I'm not THAT old, but my hands have bit the dust.

My husband hates casseroles. When we were first married in 1975 I didn’t know this about him. One thing I cooked was Cowboy Casserole, he didn’t like it , so I changed it a little and named it Hungry Man Casserole. We still laugh about it, he didn’t want to hurt my feelings.

Make sure you know your Ferratin levels before using cast iron. Too much iron in your blood can be toxic.
