Preparing for Ramadan ahead of time helps you stay focused on worship.
First, I fried onions—heat the oil until hot, lower the flame, and add onions slowly, frying them in batches so they stay crisp and not soggy; then I let them cool on paper towels.
Next, I stir-fried vegetables—bell peppers, carrots, onions, and cabbage—on high heat with a little oil, adding salt at the end; these are perfect for spring rolls, sandwiches, or sides, and I store them in the fridge.
Then, I made a chili paste—crushed dried chilies with no water; this paste adds a spicy kick to many dishes.
Finally, I made breadcrumbs from leftover bread edges—I dried them, ground them, and dry-roasted them; these keep well in an airtight container.
By doing these simple preparations now, you’ll have more time for peaceful worship during Ramadan🫶🏻
