Depends where in Mexico you are at. Had a similar plate right outside of Teotihuacan in one of the little pop up sit down places there.
Different but similar to what I eat back home in MichoacΓ‘n

Looks like Enchiladas Suizas, which is an authentic dish.

Def Tex Mex. Iβm more concerned with the plate ratios. That is a ton of rice and beans for those baby enchiladas.

I mean, there are so many regions in Mexico. Not all of them make their dishes the same way. And as for Mexican people living outside of Mexico, they also have their own regional ways of preparing things. Some brought from the homeland, and then altered to fit the local environment.

I’ve lived in SATX a very long time, and don’t remember seeing a plating like that. The star crammed into the end like that would not fly in any kitchen I’ve eaten from.

Why does it matter? Was it delicious?

Looks text mex to me. Cause they used beef instead of chicken. No veggies on the rice, and the beans are to watery. Also not enough sauce.
Still looks yummy

I don’t care if they are or not, I’m destroying that plate and then asking for another one.

Mex’s don’t normally eat rice with everything, enchiladas are paired often with refried beans, in this case enchiladas suizas are just good by themselves.

Yeah, I’d totally eat that!
