Crispy Chilli Fries
Ingredients
For the Fries
• 3 medium potatoes
• Water (for boiling)
• Salt (for boiling)
For Coating
• 3 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp chilli flakes
• 1 tsp oregano
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 tbsp water
For the Sauce
• 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1 tsp chilli flakes
• 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
• 1 tbsp chilli sauce
Garnish
• Sesame seeds
• Chopped spring greens
Method
1️⃣ Prep the Potatoes
1. Peel and cut potatoes into long fries.
2. Boil in salted water for 5–6 minutes (slightly tender, not fully cooked).
3. Strain and pat completely dry.
2️⃣ Coat the Fries
Mix cornstarch, chilli flakes, oregano, salt and water in a bowl.
Toss fries gently until evenly coated.
Cooking Options
🔥 Deep Fry
• Heat oil on medium.
• Fry in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
• Drain on paper towel.
🌬 Air Fryer
• Preheat to 200°C (390°F).
• Arrange in single layer and lightly spray with oil.
• Air fry for 14–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
• Cook until golden and crisp.
