Chili crisp! Recipe below 👇🏼
2 cups Avocado or Neutral Oil
3 – 5 cloves Garlic
1 large Shallot
1/2 cup Gochugru
1/2 cup Chili Flakes
2 tsp Mushroom Powder
2 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Chop shallot and garlic, add to cold oil in a pan, cook the mixture at 350 degrees until the shallots are starting to brown and crisp. Strain the shallots and garlic out and set aside. In a heat-proof bowl, add in the gochugaru, chili flakes, mushroom powder, sugar and salt. Pour the hot oil on the spices. Then add the rice vinegar and soy sauce. Mix well. Fold in the shallots and garlic. Allow to cool some and then store in a jar.
