I took some of ur suggestions. Rolling out thinner, no baking powder, and not too hot or cold.
I dont have the tortilla cooking tool so i used a cast iron skillet over my gas range.
I think i went too hard on rolling thin. Some of my tortillas are translucent after cooking. I think itās because i rolled too thin or used too much cooking oil.
I greased my pan and i believe that was a mistake. Ideally i want soft and flexible tortillas but mine are quite crispy around the edges.
Iām struggling to maintain a good heat. Not sure if I should be raising or lowering heat and if its influencing crispiness
Thank you all for the suggestions. Mistakes Iāve made to get such poor texture? It tastes ok it just so thin and crispy
Also, someone suggested i use my hands to quickly flip when needed. Itās really hot lol but i can see why thatās necessary. My tongs are tearing up the tortillas
