I made flour tortillas for the first time and they came out hard

Hello! So, I tried making flour tortillas today, and I found they came out dry and a bit bland? This is the recipe I used: https://alexandracooks.com/2010/01/29/bean-cheese-burritos-beef-tacos-homemade-flour-tortillas/ I scaled out all my ingredients, the only thing I did differently was add 3/4 tsp of salt instead of 1 1/4 tsp, since the recipe called for kosher and I only had table salt, but I probably should've just added the amount called for in the recipe since I felt there wasn't enough salt in the end product. I divided my dough into 5 balls (92 g each, I wanted larger tortillas) and I rolled the first one out very thin, and the others not as thin, but they all were pretty hard. I cooked the tortillas on a cast iron skillet on medium heat, around 50-60 seconds each side. there was a good amount of bubbling, and when they came out they were soft, but once they cooled down they became hard and it was hard to get filling to stay wrapped in them. I thought I was doing everything right, where could I have went wrong?
