Wilting thai bird chilli plant advice appreciated.

I bought these two thai bird chilli plants online one seems to be doing well, it has a few shiny leaves on top.
The other was very limp so i propped it up with a stick somewhat. It has kinda been in stasis for five days ago since I got it. I have been watering it so the roots stay damp, mostly guess work on my part.

I live in the subcontinent, its 85 f today and the plants are in mostly full sun. The pots have holes at the bottoms.

Is the stick ok to use? Should I water more or less? Less or more sun?

What soil are you using, it looks extremely dense and clay like. The first thing I would have done to try to save these plants is to repot them into a good potting mix with added perlite. (about 90% potting mix 10% perlite by volume). Also the plants was probably started indoors, going from indoor artificial lighting directly into full sunlight is very stressful for the plant, I would at least use some shade cloth and gradualy expose them to more and more sun light.
