Mini Sandwich Buns
Ingredients
• 1 packet dry yeast (10 g)
• 1 teaspoon salt (6 g)
• 1½ tablespoons sugar (15 g)
• 1 cup warm water (200 ml)
• 1 cup warm milk (200 ml)
• 5 cups flour (approx. 600 g)
• Sesame seeds (for coating)
• A little milk (for coating)
• Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, warm water, and warm milk.
2. Add the flour and salt. Knead until you have a soft, smooth dough.
3. Cover and let the dough rise for about 40 minutes, or until doubled in size.
4. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one out slightly into small rounds.
5. Dip one side into milk, then coat with sesame seeds. Fold in half and gently press the edges slightly (do not seal tightly).
6. Fry in hot vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown. They will puff up like balloons while frying.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
For the sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tea glass of olive oil
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoon black pepper
