Did I bite off more than I can chew?

I have 79 plants I just up-potted. I have 72 more seeds popping about 3 weeks behind.

My plan is to till up rows in my backyard and plant them out side. I have a little over 15 varieties.

I’m going to be making hot sauce out of them and sell them at my local farmers market. So this is the biggest garden project I’ve done on my own.

I’m hoping everything hardens off to the sunlight when they go outside. I live around the okc metro and there are a few cold nights coming up

Not yet, but you will when you bite a hot pepper to find out its taste and spiciness.

I have like 70-80 batch chilis alone. 30-40 Scotch, and a lot of other stuff. Depends on your experience level and desired yields I guess. If you have space for them, you should be fine if you are able to keep up with the maintenance and fertilizing for the year. I have 110 acres. I normally have 100-180 tomato plants depending on the year and what I plan on putting up for the year and giving away. Not to mention, carrots, onions, beets, sweet peppers, bell peppers, exotic peppers, cabbages, lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower, several large sets of sweet corn/green beans, peas, also Lima, and pinto beans. Asking if you bit off more than you can chew depends on your space and the amount of time, energy and money you intend to put into your crops.

    Nah.
We all started somewhere, be ambitious, if it fails, buy replacements from a greenhouse. No shame, and try again.

When hardening, start them off easy with 30-45 minutes of sunlight, you don’t want them to get sunburnt(serious).
Do that for 3 or 4 days, then extend by 20 minutes every 3 or so days. Once you’re up to 2-3 hours, they’ll be fine for the day. Don’t leave them out over night yet, don’t want them to go one extreme to another too quick.

That’s my opinion anyway, I’m sure there’s plenty out there. Since I start mine by the window instead of a grow room, it might be the same as someone else’s advice.
