Marinated Boiled tofu for dinner

Ingredients:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/4–1/3 cup hot sauce (optional, depending on heat level)
2 tbsp Japanese BBQ sauce
2 tbsp sweet & sour sauce
2–3 tsp sugar
Juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp ginger paste
1/2 jalapeño, sliced
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to heat preference)
1/2 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
4–5 green onions, chopped
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

  2. This looks waaaaay similar to Korean tofu and Korean egg marinade. I doubt this is his original recipe. I wish influencers would give due credit.

  3. I will definitely try this. I have a tofu press and I’ve never used it. Also, has anyone noticed how tofu has slightly gone up in price?

  4. Salt content must be very high since you boil in salt & then marinate in soy sauce. That would kill me lol.

  5. People in China and the far East have been boiling tofu forever and when I first heard about it I was like "ew boiling tofu I'd rather fry it": It is a game changer and this looks banging!

  6. I do the same with thing but i bake it and broil it for the last 5 min. Soooo good! My kids like it too
