The ONLY chili recipe you need 🌶️

This is the chili I’ve been making for years, and it blows every store-bought or restaurant chili out of the water. It’s quick, cheap to make, loaded with flavor, and it feeds the whole family with leftovers.

Ingredients

• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 white onion, diced
• 1 lb 90/10 ground beef
• 2.5 tbsp chili powder
• 2 tbsp ground cumin
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 2 tsp kosher salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
• 1.5 cups beef broth
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 (15 oz) can petite diced tomatoes (with juice)
• 1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high. Add onion and cook about 3 minutes until softened.
2. Add ground beef. Break it up and cook until browned, about 6 minutes.
3. Add chili powder, cumin, sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cocoa powder. Stir well.
4. Add beef broth, tomato paste, diced tomatoes (with juice), and kidney beans. Stir everything together.
5. Bring to a light boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15–20 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and let it rest a few minutes.
7. To serve: top with sour cream, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions. Serve with a side of cornbread
