First time growing. Have about 20 varieties I germinated (late in the game learned the value of heat mats). Have a little over 50% germination rate through faults of my own, but had significant difficulty getting them into their new containers without destroying roots/stems. Any advice?

What zone? for Zone 5a which I am in, my seedlings were during later Feb, early March.
