I am way into overwintering, but this is an issue I haven’t been able to figure out yet.
Pictured is a 5 year old Purple Massacre (chinense) which has, what what I would describe as, ’too many growth points that grow too many tiny leaves, that never end up turning into stems or branches.’ It feels like the plant is just kind of ‘peeling out’ instead of getting traction and good early growth.
– 10 Gallon fabric bag
– new soil last year
– Currently feeding Seablast Grow, CalMag, and Fumic acid every other watering.
– Jack’s Insecticidal Super Soap spray every week or two.
-Northern California; they have been out of the green house for over a month now.
