My plants were left unwatered for about a week in sunny conditions up to high 20s C. Some of them fared better than others but just wondering if some of them are salvageable or if I should just let them go.
First photo was a small habanero plant that had a lot of fresh tiny growth happening under a few big leaves. It was pretty much fried. Should I cut it down halfway or close to the stump to hope for regrowth, or just leave it?
Second photo was a Thai with a bunch of small fruit on it. Most of the leaves were cooked and the fruit shrivelled. Cut it back to the nodes or even further down the stem?
Third my jalapeños had lots of buds and new growth that have all turned black or shrivelled but the rest of the plant is okay. Cut off the shrivelled bits or leave alone?
Fourth the cayenne has all its new leaves all dried out but not dead or falling off. Any action to fix?
For context I’m in the southern hemisphere and daytime highs will still be in the 20s C for a couple more months. We don’t ever get to freezing in the winter and I had a few plants continue to produce small amounts of small fruit through the winter last year.
Thanks in advance!
