As many others here, I am new to pepper growing specifically. I started a little late, but I have quite a few sprouts that I eventually plan on moving to outdoors.
Houston/9b late spring and early summers are particularly hot and bright and humid. My yard setup has several spots of direct sun anywhere between 2 and 12 hours, but zero partial shade. I know that they need 6 to 8 hours of "direct sun". But "direct sun" here is basically a giant deadly laser.
Basically my question is for anyone who has experience in this zone, what is your setup like? Would it make sense for me to construct a sun shade/greenhouse? I'd prefer to dodge any mistakes that are unique to this zone.
