I chose my 3 favorite plants from last year, trimmed them down to a suitable shape for overwintering, rinsed their roots thoroughly, and replanted in indoor potting mix. Then I left them under a grow light and watered regularly. They all regrow, although only one is healthy.
One of the abnormal ones is the KS White Thai, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It normally forms bunches of small, straight, and white Thai chili peppers. Now, however the first several peppers have grown curved and are split into what looks like 2-3 peppers fused together.
What’s going on, and how do I fix it? I know the plant is genetically fine, because it behaved normally last year.
