The Ultimate Chili Dogs for Movie Night

Recipe for Chili Dogs (makes enough for about 18 medium sized hot dogs)

Ingredients for Chili
2 lbs minced meat (i used pork)
1/2 cup green seasoning
1 1/2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp sazon
3/4 tbsp black pepper
2 cups crushed tomatoes
3 tbsp oil
1 large onion chopped
3 large pimentos chopped
2 tbsp white wine
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
1/2 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup water
2 tsp honey
hot sauce to taste

Ingredients for Cole Slaw
1/4 red cabbage shredded
1/2 large carrot shredded
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 onion grated
1 tbsp sugar

Method for Chili
1. Grill hot dogs on stove top griddle or outdoor grill and set aside
2. Season minced meat with green seasoning, salt, black pepper and sazon
3. In a large saucepan, heat oil, add onions and pimento peppers and cook until softened
4. Add seasoned minced meat and allow to brown a little
5. Add white wine, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, crushed tomatoes, water, honey and hot sauce and mix well
6. Cook for about 15 mins on medium heat until desired consistency
7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
8. Place hot dog buns on greased baking pan
9. Insert hot dogs into rolls and top with chili, grated cheese and crispy bacon (or any other topping of choice)
10. Bake for 10-15 mins or until cheese has melted and buns are warm and crisp on the bottom
11. Remove from oven and top with coleslaw

Method for Cole Slaw
1. Mix all ingredients together

Green Seasoning: blened shadon beni, garlic, pimento peppers, hot pepper
