FALL RECIPE | CHILI TORTILLA BAKE | COOK WITH ME

Hi Friends welcome back to our channel! In todays video I am sharing a delicious chili tortilla casserole. I hope y’all enjoy.

Chili Tortilla Bake Recipe:

1lb. Extra lean ground beef
2 cans (8oz each) no salt added tomato sauce
1 can (15oz) black beans, rinsed & drainer
1 cup frozen corn
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
2 TBSP. Dried minced onion
2 TBSP. Chili powder
1 tsp. Ground cumin
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Dried oregano
6 whole wheat tortillas (I used carb balance)
1 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese

1. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Start in the tomato sauce, beans, corn, green chilies, and all spices. Heat.
2. In an 11×7 in. Baking dish coated with cooking spray, layer half the tortillas, beef mixture and cheese. Repeat layers. Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until bubbly (I did 20 minutes because my oven heats up so quickly)
Freeze option: cool unbaked casserole; cover and freeze. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remover from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat overs ton350 degrees. Bake casserole as directed, increasing times as necessary to heat through and for a thermometer inserted in center to read 164 degrees.
