I got a great turkey chili recipe for you all that is high volume and low calorie. It is perfect for just about any one and easy to customize.
Recipe –
2lbs Lean Ground Turkey (or your preferred meat/substitute)
16oz Chicken Broth (or broth of choice)
1 Can Diced Tomatoes
1TBsp Tomato Paste
1 Can drained Black Beans
1 TBsp Oil
Veggies – Bell Pepper, jalapenos, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes
Spices – 1 heap TBsp each Chili Powder, Cumin, Paprika & 1 smack or 2 of cinnamon
Directions – Dice up all your veggies to the desired size. In a GIANT pot heat up the oil over a medium heat. Add in the ground turkey (or meat/substitute of choice) and brown. Once the meat is mostly cooked add in your veggies and stir through. Let the veggies cook for 2-3 minutes and then add in your spices and stir through. Next add in your tomatoes, tomato paste, beans, and broth and stir to combine everything. Pop a lid on and let your chili simmer for a good hour or more, stirring occasionally. The longer it cooks, the better it tastes.
