OnePlus has already confirmed that the company is going to launch the OnePlus 8T smartphone on October 14. However, there seems to be a shift in the launch strategy from the smartphone company. It seems like there will be no Pro variant of the handset that has been usually a part of OnePlus launch plans. According to a report by Android Authority, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed on Weibo Chinese microblogging website that this year, there wont be any OnePlus 8T Pro and for those who are looking for a Pro-level device can choose the OnePlus 8 Pro. Readers must note that OnePlus first launched the Pro variant in 2019 with OnePlus 7 series phones. The company launched two handsets one standard and one Pro variant in both 7 as well as 7T series. While the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro arrived in the first half of the year; OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro came in the second half. Earlier this year too, OnePlus launched two variants of 8 series — OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Prior to 2019, the company launched its flagship smartphone in the first half of the year, following it with a single T variant later in the year. Other than the flagship level smartphones, the company is also rumoured to launch more handsets in the Nord series as well. A recent tweet by popular tipster Evan Blass suggested that user guides of OnePlus Nord N100, OnePlus Nord N105g and a smartphone with a codename SS9805″ appeared on the official website of OnePlus.
