MuscleTech Chili Recipe Review
In honor of our nice shipment from MuscleTech of the Muscle Tech Performance Series line, We decided to get together and have a MUSCLEspecTECHular super Saturday. We kicked things off by making a MuscleTech chili recipe we found on MuscleTech.com. The recipe is fairly simple, and there is minimal preparation time. We added an additional 1/2 pound of ground beef and 1 additional can of tomato sauce since our wives were going to be eating with us.
After 20 minutes of simmering, the chili was done and looking pretty good. Initially it seemed a little spicy, but after a few bites we didn’t even notice it. The use of the fresh tomatoes helped control the heat, and we couldn’t quit eating it. We chowed down almost the whole pot, and our wives even liked it too!
Ingredients (with our substitutions)
– 500g lean ground beef (we used 1 lb)
– 1 cup black beans
– 1 cup chopped onions
– 1 cup diced tomatoes
– 2 cups diced green peppers (we used 1 pepper)
– 1 tbsp. olive oil
– 2 cups tomato sauce (we used 3 8oz cans)
– 1 tsp. garlic powder
– 1 tsp. sea salt
– 1 tsp. fresh ground pepper
– 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
Directions
Pour the olive oil into a large pot and cook the onions on medium heat.
Add the beef and top with the spices and continue stirring until beef is brown.
Add the diced tomatoes, green peppers, tomato sauce and black beans to the pot, mix well, cover and then let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and enjoy!
