In this video I show y’all how to make a chili stuffed cheeseburger. This easy and fun to make burger recipe is a delicious way to change up how you eat chili cheeseburgers. Chili and cheese stuffed into the burger then grilled on the Blackstone flat top griddle.
Shopping List: 2 burgers
1 lb. 80/20 ground chuck hamburger meat (2 1/2 lb burgers)
Sweet onion, roughly sliced
Canned chili (your favorite brand)
Grated block cheddar cheese
Hamburger pickle chips
Iceberg lettuce
Tomato slices
Red onion slices
Condiments of your choice (mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc.)
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Using a small muffin pan, fill each cup with about 2 ounces of chili (about 1/2 inch thick). Cover the pan with plastic wrap and put in the freezer until the chili is completely frozen.
When frozen, remove each chili disc. If you have trouble getting them out place the pan upside down on a plate and run warm water over the bottom of the pan.
Cut the cheese into thin slivers.
Take the ground meat and put the chili disc and cheese slivers in the middle and form into 1inch patties.
Set the Blackstone griddle, grill into two heat zones. 1 over indirect heat and 1 over medium heat.
First cook the burger over the direct heat for about 3 – 3 1/2 minutes per side then over the indirect heat for 6-8 minutes each side until the chili and cheese has completely melted inside the burger. (internal temp 145)
Build you burger to your liking and enjoy!
