In this video I show y’all how to make chili cheese hot dogs pizza. Golden brown and crusty pizza crust topped with chili, sharp cheddar cheese and thin slices of hot dog wieners then baked in the oven. Quick and easy pizza in less than 15 minutes. Perfect for kids and the kid in all of us!
Shopping List:
Pre-made round 12 inch pizza crusts
Olive oil
Your choice of chili (I’m using homemade Cincinnati style chili)
Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1-2 hot dogs sliced into to thin rounds
Red onion, diced
Green onion chives, roughly chopped
Salt to taste
Grated parmesan
Red pepper flakes
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 500
Brush the olive oil onto the pizza crust
Add the chili and a light sprinkle of salt
Top the chili with a generous amount of cheese
Arrange the hot dog rounds on top of the pizza.
Sprinkle with salt.
Bake 10-12 minutes until the chili is hot and the cheese is bubbly.
NOTE: IF USING A PIZZA STONE FOR A SOFTER CRUST, PLACE IN OVEN WITH A SPRINKLE OF CORN MEAL TO HEAT WITH THE OVEN THEN PLACE YOUR PIZZA ON IT WHEN HEATED TO TEMP. FOR A MORE CRISPY CRUST PLACE ON THE OVEN RACK.
Remove from the oven and garnish with red onion and chives.
Sprinkle with grated parmesan and red pepper flakes (optional)
Slice and enjoy!
